Long Horn Skull

This Long Horn skull is made entirely from hardwoods, with each piece individually cut on my scroll saw, then hand shaped and carved.

The main skull is crafted from Aspen, giving it that iridescent glow only finished Aspen can offer. The horns are made from extremely figured Black Walnut and shaped to extend outward with movement and presence. A moon phase cut from Blue Pine surrounds the skull and all mounted on a Purple Heart and White Wenge checkerboard backer.

This piece is part of my “mini collection,” and is bold, dimensional, and full of character. 

No paints or stains used.
